hrm i might break this into individual tickets. depending how lazy i am.
with ink blog finally working, i'm going to begin building the new community.
-the first step will be to get user surveys to find out where the users are. aka what they want etc.
-help-wanted page. many other FOSS communities have much more involved users. to get there i think we need to make it seem feasible for the users to be able to participate. even a task such as write a tutorial or test this or that for a bug will be very helpful. perhaps even inspire someone to want to learn delphi. it's inductive.
-#Education library: if we're going with the Dokuwiki we totally need to make all of the education accessible (and by this i mean not buried deeply in a mediawiki). again this is something that the users can absolutely be involved with.
-return of the #Children: as a "trusted user" base. good for beta testing, tasks devs can't get to right away but like not for regular users perhaps.
-the ink blog will be a cross-post with a windows live space. this will be where i will lure in the wndows noobs who have never yet left msn's web of sites. at some point in the future i will downlod the 60 days worth of vista, and show off sharpe on vista. this way the noobs who never leave ms's sites can see that #e works on xp and vista, therefore being lured in, without any excuse.
-a page detailing any sorts of programs sharpe is using. this is a link-to-them-they-link-back thing. the reactos team is particularly keen on this due to the fact that they sure love the #e.
-art community. if we can get a core of dedicated arty people or people who are willing to let us link to (or distribute) their iconsets/wallpapers/etc we can have an in-house sexy eye-candy shop.
-mind map of community goals. i am all about the mind maps. i will contribute to the roadmap, for sure, but i'm going to have a mind map because those work great for me. besides, i'm the colorful one(!)
